What is a gateway, what is it used for?A gateway is a device that allows for the translation of communication between networks/computers that use different protocols or designs. An BEHOME 24/7 gateway is a translator of data between your home or business devices and our servers. 3. How do I reset the BEHOME 24/7 Gateway?To reset the gateway, please follow the instructions below. 4. I don’t remember my password; can you reset it for me?Please use the 'Forgot Password?' feature on the log-in page, call us or email us. 5. Do you need a computer on at all times to run this system?The BEHOME 24/7 Gateway is a stand alone system. You need a computer at the location of the gateway for a first time installation, after registering all of the devices you can remove the computer. 6. How many devices can be supported by the BEHOME 24/7 Gateway?Up to 8 cameras and 32 devices can be supported by a single BEHOME 24/7 Gateway. 7. How do I connect the hardware to my router?The BEHOME 24/7 Gateway requires a single port connection from your router. You will connect your BEHOME 24/7 Gateway to one of the open ports on your router using a CAT5 Ethernet Cable (provided with starter kit). 8. What are PLC adapters and are they required?Power Line Connectors are required if you chose to have a wireless system. A PLC adapter transfers data via electricity. 9. What is the difference between a Panasonic BeHome Pan Tilt and a BeHome Stationary IP Camera?BeHome Pan Tilt (rotates a 110 degree) Camera that provides 3 levels of contrast adjustability and BeHome Stationary IP Camera is a fixed camera that will record the location at a 45 degree viewing point. 10. Do you carry any outdoor cameras?The Pro Zoom indoor/outdoor camera is an outdoor camera. However, BeHome Pan Tilt cameras can take some very light weather if installed in a protected birdhouse, porch or under a roof skirt. 11. What is the range of device/camera coverage for the BEHOME 24/7 Gateway?Any device or camera will work within 200 feet radius of the BEHOME 24/7 Gateway. You can extend this range by using a wireless signal repeater. 12. What is a repeater?A wireless repeater extends indoor/outdoor communications range beyond 100 feet (except cameras). 13. What is a macro, how do I set rules for my devices?A macro is a rule that specifies how a certain input sequence should be mapped to an output sequence according to a defined procedure. 14. Where do I go to view Live Video?Please visit www.MyBeHome247.com and log in using your existing username and password. Once you are logged in, click on the live video button and then the snapshot for a Live Video feed from that specific camera. 15. Does video get recorded 24 hours a day?The cameras are motion sensory cameras. They do not record 24 hours a day, but you can have snapshots, video clips and notification whenever there is motion in a 24 hour span. Our DVR can be added to any system and can be set to record events for 24/7 for 30 days continuously and can be added to any system. 16. Is port forwarding required?Port forwarding is not required to complete the BEHOME 24/7 Gateway installation. 17. Does BEHOME 24/7 Gateway carry any night cameras?We do not currently offer night vision cameras. However, using the BeHome 24/7 Analog Converter to Digital CCTV Camera Converter you may use any analog night vision cameras with the system. 18. Does BEHOME 24/7 Gateway work with any other system?BEHOME 24/7 Gateway is a system strictly configured to work with the devices created by the same engineers of the product. BEHOME 24/7 Gateway will not recognize any other device such as a webcam or any other existing monitoring system. 19. What is the warranty policy for the BEHOME 24/7 system?We offer lifetime technical support for the system and 1 year warranty for any defective/damaged product. |
